Hire Terms

Prestige Parties would like to ensure that your event is special in every way.


Payment Terms

A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking. Prestige Parties cannot guarantee any hire booking without a deposit. Once a deposit and the signed quotation is received your hired items will be considered confirmed. A security bond is calculated into the final charge and is refunded after the event, less any shortages or breakages.


Final numbers and payment is required ten (10) days prior to the date of the event. This will be the minimum number charged for your event.


We accept payment by way of cheque or money order payable to Prestige Parties, or by funds transfer into our NAB business account.


Cancellation Policy

In the event of a confirmed booking of products or services being cancelled, notice in writing must be forwarded to our office and the following will apply:

  • If cancelled more than sixty (60) days prior to the event, 100% of the deposit will be refunded.
  • If cancelled between sixty (60) and thirty (30) days prior to the event, 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
  • If less than thirty (30) days notice is given, no deposit will be refunded.

Hiring Charges

Charges are quoted on a one day hire charge. Weekend hire charges are applied as a one day hire charge – delivered Saturday and removed Sunday or Monday, whichever is agreed between the client and Prestige Parties. Weekly hire, i.e. five (5) working days, attracts a two (2) day hire charge.


Prices quoted are for delivery to and collection from street-level, within 50 metres of a loading zone. Extra charges may apply for delivery to and removal from higher or lower venue sites, and where loading access is greater than 50 metres from the venue.


The hirer is responsible for ensuring the delivery contact is onsite at the venue to receive delivery of the hired items at the agreed time. The hirer is responsible for ensuring the hired items are cleaned and ready for removal at the agreed time. If not, the hirer shall be charged a full daily hire rate for the items until they are returned to Prestige Parties.


Conditions of Hire

The hired items shall remain the property of Prestige Parties, the owner, at all times, and ownership shall not pass to the hirer under any circumstances whatsoever.


The hirer is responsible for the care and security of the hired items from the time of delivery until the time of collection by Prestige Parties. Any damage sustained to any items hired by the hirer or their guests is the responsibility of the hirer. The hirer must notify Prestige Parties immediately in the event any hired items are lost, damaged, or not in proper working order. The hirer should not attempt to repair any damaged items and shall return such equipment to Prestige Parties for replacement.


The hirer is liable for the repair or replacement of any items that may be damaged or go 'missing' from the event. Costs involved are calculated on replacement value. See 'PAYMENT TERMS' for information regarding the security bond. In the event that the charges incurred are greater than the security deposit value, an invoice will be issued and payment must be made within seven (7) days.


All hired items must be returned in a thoroughly clean condition and boxed where packing boxes are left by Prestige Parties. If hired items are not returned clean, a cleaning charge of $30.00 per hour will be charged. All linen must be returned dry and folded. There is no need to launder the linen as this is included in the hire charge. Items returned with un-removable stains, mildew, candle wax, burn holes, or any other damage will be charged at replacement cost.


Indemnity

The hirer agrees to indemnify Prestige Parties from and against all costs, damages, claims, loss or liability (including legal costs and disbursements in defending or settling the claim given rise to the same) arising from or in connection with the provision of services or hired items by Prestige Parties.
